If you live in Richmond...lucky you! Not only because of the park and the Thames but also because of the abundance of tea.
If you don't live in Richmond...it's time to visit!
Petersham Nurseries: deserves a whole blog post of its own (and this it shall have soon) but for now let me just tell you that it is a lovely walk from town along the river, through meadows, to a buzzy greenhouse for tea drinking among the plant pots. A destination for the green fingered tea lover.
Rosie & Java: 7 years in this spot but with 35 years of tea experience, owners Alison and Robert will talk tea with you and answer any questions you have. With fresh teas arriving weekly, you know that passion and love is what runs this popular little tea and coffee merchants. I bought their Richmond Royal Blend to taste at home so will keep you informed.
The Tea Box: with so little time I was only able to pop my head through the door for a snoop. They have an extensive tea menu and an Eastern ambience. TIP - If you plan to go, reserve the little table by the window with low parlour chairs as it looks super cosy!
The White Horse: so this was my final destination and while I admit it was mainly beer and wine I was drinking - they also serve teapigs tea! (TIP - sign up to their newsletter the day before you go for a free drink voucher.)
If I have missed any Richmond tea spots do let me know, but hopefully these are enough for you to be getting on with ;)
