Tuesday Tea Tasting Hello fellow tea lovers and late night wide-awakers! While other people can turn off the light and fall asleep in an instant, it takes me a good few hours to travel to the land of nod. And for a tea lover this proves a bit tricky when gasping for a cuppa in the evening. Caffeine is a bugger and so, despite my addiction, I had to give myself a cuppa-cut-off: 6pm. Tuesday Tea Tasting: I like white tea for its delicate flavours. Twinings Pure White tea does not need much brewing - in fact while they recommend 1-2 mins I wouldn't let is stew for longer than 1 minute. Then the sweet flavour comes through and it's light and refreshing. Another tip is to reuse the teabag - I found the second brew even better than the first!
Due to a brilliant adventure in India I always have a soft spot for a Darjeeling and Twinings Golden Darjeeling hits that spot. Twinings describe it as ‘chopped herbs and a grassiness, like meadows in May' and whilst the taste is worthy of its Great Taste 2015 Award, it was actually the brilliant bright colour and flowery aroma that pleased me the most.
