Tuesday Tea Tasting: When a friend said he'd recently had a great cup of tea from Greggs, I admit I was sceptical. But after a pitt stop at the M4 Reading Services, well I was pleasantly surprised. They serve Birchall's Fairtrade Breakfast Tea which has won a Great Taste Award. It's a strong Kenyan brew so perfect for a morning cuppa or, for me, a desperately needed pick-me-up on a 4 hour drive.
Cheshire Tea was founded by friends Phil and Paul - with the aim to ‘bring exceptional tea to every palate in Great Britain'. Their Breakfast Blend with leaves from Kenya and India was beautiful to look at due to the fiery licks of calming Safflower petals. The brew itself was a lovely morning cuppa - nice and mellow - and I loved the extra touch on the packaging which detailed the picking time and flush.
