Tuesday Tea Tasting The Pogues on the radio and mince pies in the shops...it's Christmas!!! And so time to try Teapigs' Spiced Winter Red Tea whilst wrapping some orders. It's a warming cuppa, with a mulled wine fragrance. A festive brew with orange, cloves and cinnamon with rooibos tea, caffeine free as well so no sleepless nights while waiting for Santa. They also recommend adding brandy to make it extra festive - OK if you insist - after all it is Christmas!!
This week it was teapigs' 9th Birthday and to celebrate they gave out free tea on the 4th Nov in the UK and around the world...even Hawaii (that's a hot cuppa!) And everyone has to have a birthday party right? So in the afternoon I was invited to join the teapigs crew on their London bus tour. A Routemaster bus, decorated in style, took us passed iconic landmarks with the wonderful Russell as our ever-informative guide. Finsbury Park in London is certainly changing. When I lived there in 2007 I would never have thought a lovely theatre would open up in the area. But the Park Theatre has, and with it a popular cafe/bar that gets so super busy before a show that I ended up sitting at the piano with my Teapigs Chai. I normally add milk to chai (India holiday nostalgia) but it wasn't offered to me so I gave it a go without and it was still delish. Think it says something about the tea when the barman says ‘wow...
