Oh my do I love an afternoon tea! So what better excuse to head to 108 Pantry at Marylebone Hotel than it being National Afternoon Tea Week! afternontea.co.uk offer great discounts on lots of fabby locations so I booked through them and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious scones, pastries, sandwiches and cakes. But the highlight was the tea....topped up as much as I wanted (hooray!) and so I tried a few brews from the Rare Tea Company, including their Assam (with milk to make it a proper English afternoon), Darjeeling and Earl Grey. All so delicious. Was it cheeky that I asked to have it all served on the Pantry's old chinaware? The kind waiter managed to dig out some of the Burleigh Asiatic Pheasants they used to use, as I love the pretty pattern so much!
